Exam results

Jack Ma has rightly quoted, “If you don’t give up, you still have a chance. Giving up is the greatest failure.”

Not everyone is good in studies, many people fail in exam. It is you who decide in which field you are good at. If you are good at dancing, join class and practice that. Dancers can earn huge amount of money. If you are good at singing, go for it. Singers earn name and fame too. If you are a writer, there are so many opportunities. You can be a story writer in movies, you can write novels etcetera.

There are so many fields today that you can pursue and earn name and fame. You come up with some original idea and you can be a successful entrepreneur. You can be a chef, photographer, cinematographer, designer, blogger, artist and there are lot many fields that you can pursue. Don’t think you are a failure just because you failed in exams. Failures are those who don’t try again.

Is suicide really an option? No, never!

India has the highest suicide rate of young people (15-29 years of age). Youngsters who come across failures during exams or career decides to take this extreme step. According to the 2015 report of Nation Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) data, every hour, one student commits suicide in India. In 2015, 8,934 suicide cases have been reported and still, there is no count on unreported cases.

Suicide is never an option, no matter what. Your parents might get angry because of your academic failure. They love you a lot and they want you to score well as they are worried about your career and future. Talk to them. Make them understand that you want to pursue your career in a different field which interests you. Every field is full of scope, you just have to give your best. Dedication and Determination are two pillars of success. Don’t say “it’s not easy”. Just give it a try. If you fail at something, try again. If you fail again, try once again. Try until you succeed but NEVER GIVE UP.

This is Life. Sometimes you are happy, sometimes you are sad. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is what balances the Life. You should never give up, no matter what. Exam results are mere tests and numbers which tells you in which subject you are good or bad. Not your marks but you decide your future.

Someone said once, “The world is beautiful outside when there is stability inside”.

Whenever you feel like giving up on life, think about those who live for you. You will not only kill yourself but them too. Live for them. Live for yourself. If you won’t give up today, you will definitely make your parents proud one day.

There has to be another way, there always is.

  • I’m not book smart, I always struggled academically. But in a way then I’m grateful because I’ve read successful people are the ones who struggled, who weren’t the best at school so that inspires me to see someone struggle and come out as a success ?

  • Hello, my name is rishitha. I leave in India in a small town. recently I discovered my happiness and interest in dancing and singing but my parents are not supportive because they want me to study but I don’t like to study. MY DREAM IS TO BECOME A GRATE DANCER AND ARTIST . WHAT SHOULD I DO? I don’t want to give up on my dreams but my mom is saying that being a girl you should not do dance in front of people. I want to become a great artist like BTS. PLEASE I KINDLY REQUEST you to suggest me.

    • Hello Rishita,

First of all, we are extremely sorry for the late reply. Actually, we were quite busy these days so unable to keep an eye on the mails and portal.

Being a 19 year old, you might be depending on your parents. So, considering your current scenario I think it would be great for you to just go with your parent’s dream. I mean if they wish to see you engineer, doctor, lawyer, CA, etc. Meanwhile, you can polish and flourish your skillsets. In addition to that while pursuing your graduation, you can participate in cultural activities and fest. Try to give your best in inter-college dance or singing competition. This will be the best platform for you. So, by the time you will graduate you can get some job, just to fulfil your needy expenses and save some money for your professional career. I know its a bit longer pathway for your dream but with this approach, you can definitely achieve your dream. It’s my personal suggestion to you to do not skip your studies to pursue your dreams. Do both the things simultaneously i.e. study and your passion.

Considering the perspective of your parents you need a big platform to showcase your talent so that not only your parents will accept you but your society will also feel proud of you. You can follow your dream without any second thought when you will be independent.
For your reference, I am attaching a video link – https://fb.watch/3VyncVMZ_I/The girl in this video got the opportunity to exhibit her talent. Her case is quite similar to yours that’s why I thought to share it with you. Just have a look at it.

Be brave, fight for your dream and never give up.

Please do let me know if any.

      Thanks & Regards,
      Asking Minds Team
